Alleged thrashing of Sr cardiologist: SP Hazratbal to inquire into incident, says SSP Srinagar Dr Haseeb | KNO

Srinagar, May 25 (KNO): Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Srinagar Dr Haseeb Mughal has directed the SP Hazratbal to inquire into the alleged thrashing of a senior cardiologist. “I have asked SP Hazratbal to look into the issue and submit a report,” Dr Haseeb told news agency Kashmir News Observer (KNO) Earlier, KNO reported that a senior interventional cardiologist Dr Syed Maqbool was allegedly thrashed by police and lodged at police station Zadibal for the day. Dr Maqbool said that he wasn’t able to attend the duty on Saturday as he was on call and that he was kept at police station Zadibal for many hours amid intimidation by the concerned police officer that ‘he shouldn’t reveal his lodgment at police station to anybody.”—(KNO)
